I have always loved animals, nature, and art. It is the way the sun light hits my subjects, whether it is glow on a petal of a flower or the sunlight gleaming through the trees. These are the things that inspire me to paint, but I am especially inspired by the faces of my dogs and cats when they are soaking up the morning sunlight.
A resident of Waldwick, NJ, and a member of the Ridgewood Art Institute, I have been fortunate to study oil painting for the last 7 years with John Philip Osborne, a master of landscape painting, who teaches light and atmospheric effects. I have attended the the School of Visual Arts. and taken workshops and classes with such artists as Lorraine Minneto, Clinton Hobart, Diana Gibson and Renate Wehmeyer.
I have been commissioned to paint pet portraits for many pet owners in the tri state area and have been told that I capture the true essence and soul of these pets. I am also the proud owner of three beautiful shetland sheep dogs and three wonderful cats.
